ABOUT TOVLI SIMIRYAN

Biography:

 

Tovli Simiryan (“Linnie”) is an award-winning writer currently living in Northeast Ohio with her husband, Yosif. She began writing at age ten when The Adventures of Little Red Pussy Willow was featured in Mrs. Bond's Anthology of Rebellious Fifth Graders.

 

Tovli’s writings have appeared in a variety of publications.   She has published two books of poetry: The Breaking of the Glass, Fixing the Broken Glass, and a collection of short fiction, Ruach of the Elders—Spiritual Teachings of the Silent.   (Harasho Dlia Menia Publishing--HDM-Publishing)

 

She has been nominated for the Pushcart award three times and has received awards for her fiction from West Virginia Writers Annual Writers' Competition.   http://www.wvwriters.org/contest.html

Additionally, Tovli Simiryan's fiction has been recognized with an honorable mention by Glimmer Train Magazine.

 

The Simiryan family came to America as refugees from the former Soviet Union (Moldova) in 1992.

The rest of the family consists of four cats:  Lord Dewey Lemon-Water of Thyme, Dame Olive Moslina Von-deGross; Big Velma, the Norwegian of Pocahontas Forest and Sir Willoughby Ginger of Marmalade ("Willy").
